the beach. Cycling along the path which was used by fishermen’s wifes to
go to the market, you’ll end up in Haarlem. The small and surveyable

the Netherlands’. Don’t forget to sit down and have a drink on one of
the terrasses at the big market place.

The first village you arrive in is Spaarndam (the village of Hans Brinker).
After the crossing of the North Sea canal by ferry, you continue cycling

Schans and continue following the river Zaan and the Knollendammer canal
to our cheese town Alkmaar.

Today the boatel stays in Alkmaar. There’s a cycle trip to the unique
wooded dune area near the villages Bergen and Schoorl. You’ll have

beach. If you feel like it, you are of course, free to spend a day on your
own sightseeing in Alkmaar or relaxing at the seaside.

After passing Oterleek and Avenhorn, you arrive in Hoorn. After you have
got acquainted with this historical port town, you take the road along the

centre of Amsterdam. In the evening you may wish to join the guide for a

aboard has come to an end.

each tour you’ll be staying aboard a sailing boatel on which you eat and
sleep. The same ship transports your luggage, meaning that you’ll have a
‘light’ and careless holiday. Your accommodation is basically a simple double cabin in which you’ll find a
shower & toilet, a washing basin and central heating. Bedding and towels are
included. Furthermore you’ll find an attractive dining & recreation room
and a spacious sundeck aboard your boatel.
Daily
Activities
The cycling trips are 40 km average. This means that you’ll be leisurely
pedaling from 9.00 a.m. till approximately 4.00 p.m. Generally, you have enough
time to have several breaks and chances to do sightseeing. Each day aboard
starts with a firm breakfast: several kinds of bread, crackers, coffee &
tea, milk etc. During breakfast you’ll prepare your own lunch (sandwiches,
fruit and a drink) for ‘on the road’. At your return in the afternoon the
crew will serve a cup of coffee or tea. When you have freshened up after your
